Athena Bellio , DPT, PCS
Athena graduated from San Diego State University where she earned her Bachelors in Kinesiology. She completed her massage therapy and holistic health practitioner certification shortly after her undergraduate in 2011. After working for a few years, she applied and was accepted to the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and graduated alongside Dr. KC in April 2016.
Athena is a big kid at heart and loves working with children in any capacity. Whether it’s helping the kiddos she treats achieve their gross motor potential through meaningful play or just hanging out with her nieces and nephews throwing dance parties and sing-a-longs, she loves finding new ways to interact and play with purpose.
She has taken courses in neurodevelopmental and orthopedic treatment techniques and is passionate about treating movement disorders by addressing the body as a whole.
Athena is a North County SD native and when she isn’t working can be found hanging out with her (obnoxiously) large Italian/Greek family. She enjoys cooking and baking, crafting and spending time with her husband, Brian, and their two cats, Olive and Floyd.
