Claire E. Fishburn , MA.,CCC-SLP
Claire is a licensed speech language pathologist and a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies before obtaining an additional degree in Audiology and Speech Language Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado (UNCo) in 2016. She then continued her education at UNCo by obtaining her masters degree Speech-Language Pathology and graduated in 2018.
Following graduation, Claire worked at a private pediatric clinic and certified autism center in northern Virginia. Claire is a certified autism specialist and is a certified Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) clinician. She enjoys working with children of all ages and is especially drawn to providing fluency therapy. She has experience working with children with various diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, chromosomal abnormalities, and hearing loss. Claire is passionate about providing fun, entertaining, therapy that addresses functional, everyday, skills and allows for the transference of learned skills to the home environment. She is eager to continue to grow as a speech-language pathologist and therapy provider and has plans to continue her education in counseling to better address the psychological impacts of children’s diagnoses.
In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends outdoors.
