Maegan Seide , M.S., CCC-SLP
Maegan is a graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in education as well as her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at Westmont and her Master’s Degree in communicative disorders at the University of Redlands. She developed, researched, and presented a case study at the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s Annual Convention in November 2013 on utilizing a language approach to treat cluttering. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), is a licensed speech-language pathologist and has received training in the Beckman Oral Motor protocol and PROMPT Level 1.
Maegan has been working with children since 2003 in the field of education as an elementary school teacher and tutor, and in the field of speech-language pathology since 2011 in both public school and private practice settings. Her clinical experience includes assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and diagnoses, such as receptive and expressive language delays/disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, apraxia, fluency disorders and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Her experiences working with children have not only honed her behavior management skills, but also provided her with insight and evidence-based practice assessment and intervention techniques.
Maegan loves working with children, helping them grow and learn by adapting therapy to their individual needs. She also loves working with families to transfer therapy techniques from the clinic to the home. Utilizing play-based therapy, behavior management techniques and a family-based approach, she strives to provide the best care to her patients and families as part of the Oceanside Therapy Group family.
