Shari Jones , M.S., CCC-SLP
Shari Jones is a licensed speech language pathologist and a member of the American and California Speech-Language and Hearing Associations (ASHA & CSHA). She graduated from San Diego State University with honors in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and went on to earn a Masters of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific in 2009. Shari has been working at Oceanside Therapy Group since January 2011.
Shari has experience working in a variety of settings, including public schools, in-home, and private practice. Her clinical experience includes assessment and treatment of children through adults with a variety of disorders and diagnoses, including receptive and expressive language delays/disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia, aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, fluency (stuttering) disorders, voice disorders, stroke, auditory processing disorders, hearing impairments, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Shari is a trained SLP in the PROMPT method.
Shari’s greatest passion and dedication is in providing early intervention for children from ages birth-three. She emphasizes naturalistic family- centered therapy approaches including play-based therapy. She believes that working closely with family members and adapting to each child’s individual needs is essential to helping children reach their full potential. Shari is certified by The Hanen Program® to teach It Takes Two to Talk to parents. Through continued education, research, and training Shari plans to continue to provide effective, evidence-based approaches to treatment.
