Courtney is a Colorado native and earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology in 2023 at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she also earned two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences in 2021.
Before her academic journey, she spent three years as a dedicated nanny and caregiver, demonstrating her compassion and commitment to enhancing the lives of others. Her fieldwork experience spans various age groups, including pediatric patients with developmental and acquired neurological conditions in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings, as well as adults with brain and spinal cord injuries in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Courtney’s expertise lies in cognitive issues such as executive functioning and attention deficits, along with motor speech and swallowing disorders. She plans to expand her skill set by pursuing further training in pediatric feeding and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
In the fall of 2023, Courtney joined the OTG family, where she brings a holistic approach to therapy. She emphasizes the emotional well-being of patients and the impact of comorbidities on their unique journeys, aiming to create a safe and nurturing environment for positive outcomes for every child and their family.
Outside of work, Courtney stays active with weightlifting, yoga, and escaping to the mountains to snowboard during the winter. As a newcomer to coastal Southern California, she looks forward to learning how to surf and exploring new horizons. Courtney’s diverse interests reflect her dynamic spirit and unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth.
