DPT
Kristy grew up in the small desert town of Barstow, California. She moved to Orange County for college and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2006. She discovered her calling while in school and didn’t waste any time starting Physical Therapy school the same year. Kristy graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Chapman University in 2009.
Kristy knew from the start that she wanted to work in pediatrics and was lucky enough to find a job working in a multidisciplinary clinic in West Los Angeles with some of the greatest therapists in the field as her mentors. Kristy took her experience from her first 10 years as a mentee into a different clinic in Santa Monica to become a mentor in 2020. She now comes to Oceanside Therapy Group with nearly 13 years of experience in pediatrics.
Kristy met her husband Goker in Los Angeles in 2010 and they were married in 2014. They welcomed their son Ender Duran in 2016, and their daughter Ayla Lee in 2019 completing their family. She enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, DIY projects, crocheting amigurumi, movies/tv and spending time with friends and family.
