M.S., CCC-SLP, SLP ASSISTANT MANAGER
Makaela Mendelson is a 2-time graduate from Biola University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2016 as well as her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2018.
Following graduation, Makaela has worked in the private practice setting with experience predominantly in a multidisciplinary setting. She enjoys working with children of all ages, and is particularly drawn to early intervention. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, hearing loss, cerebral palsy, and a variety of speech and language disorders. Makaela is passionate about a multidisciplinary approach that emphasizes the importance of a unique treatment plan for each child, as well as providing therapy that is fun and functional for the clinic and home environment. She is eager to continue growing in her career and adapting her therapeutic skills to provide functional and up-to-date treatment for all her clients. Makaela has a particular desire to grow in her skills for feeding therapy, as well as pursuing certifications in PROMPT therapy to support her clients in any way she can.
In her spare time, Makaela will be found spending time with her family, friends and church, whether that be outdoors or in a coffee shop.
