OTD, OTR/L, Occupational Therapy Assistant Manager
Rebecca is the fifth generation in her family to be raised in San Diego. She grew up enjoying the outdoors across California, including the Northern California redwoods, Lake Tahoe, Sierra Nevada Mountains, and local beaches in Southern California. She received her bachelor’s degree at Sonoma State University in Human Development, and went on to get her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. Her fieldwork experiences included hippotherapy, outpatient adult neuro, outpatient pediatrics, and early intervention. She completed her doctorate capstone project on telehealth, which was an emerging practice at the time. Since graduating, Rebecca has worked as an OT in elementary and middle schools, in outpatient pediatrics, and with outpatient adult settings. She has additional trainings in sensory processing and feeding (SOS Approach to Feeding).
It is her mission to continue to grow as a person and therapist. She strives to be a lifelong learner in this dynamic field and she is grateful for the opportunity to join the OTG team in 2022 to support families and children. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog. She loves the outdoors, traveling, trying new recipes, and reading. Additionally, she has been dabbling in new hobbies such as playing guitar, watercolor, and kayaking.
