Trisha graduated with honors with a Masters in Speech Pathology from Loma Linda University in 1974. She is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence. She is a licensed Speech Pathologist with the California Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology. Trisha has received the speech pathology Outstanding Achievement Award given by the California Speech and Hearing Association.
Trisha’s initial experience includes working with special needs students with the Oceanside Unified School District. She then began her private practice which included providing speech, occupational and physical therapy services to acute care hospitals, out-patient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, mental health, adult day care and home health facilities.
Trisha’s experience includes the provision of services to improve the Speech, Language Development, Swallowing, Articulation, Fluency and Social Skills of those she serves. She values enabling each child and family to participate in goal development, therapy sessions and the celebration of each new skill achieved.
Those placed in her care quickly know that her caring spirit and years of experience will lead them to enhanced skills and improved life.
For many years, Trisha has provided the required one-year mentorship to speech pathologists who are seeking to obtain a California State License in Speech Pathology. She believes that those she mentors will learn from her and that she is fortunate to also learn from them!
Trisha enjoys spending time with her daughter and toddler grandson, scuba diving and traveling.
